WHO IS LIANG OF LIANG'S FITNESS?
My name is Cher Liang Tay, but my friends just know me as Liang. I have a background in accountancy and worked for 6 years as an accountant before quitting in 2016.
When working at my desk job, I gained weight due to a sports injury and poor dietary habits. As a result, I constantly felt fatigued and had low energy levels. I realised that my heart was not in accountancy and I left for greener pastures – to pursue a career in fitness, personal training and martial arts. After returning to my martial arts, fitness and strength training, I noticed perceptible changes in me, both physically and mentally. I felt better and happier overall.
Now, not only I am passionate about fitness and helping those around me get fitter and live more healthily, I also enjoy learning new skills to enhance what I can offer my clients. Some of my skills include pregnancy and post-natal training and training older adults.
In addition to being a fitness advocate and personal trainer, I am also an active Taekwon-Do athlete with 20 years of Taekwon-Do training under my belt. I began training when I was in primary school in Malaysia, and my love of martial arts has only grown since then. I regularly attend seminars to grow my skills and improve my technique, and I participate in international Taekwon-Do competitions to pit myself against worthy opponents overseas. I have become the first world champion in the 2020 ITF Taekwon-Do E Tournament in October 2020.

MARTIAL ARTS FOR LIFE
I have actively practiced Taekwon-Do for 20 years, since my youth in Malaysia.
I was a World Taekwon-Do Championship medalist in the 2017 Asia Open Champion and have won multiple Australian national championships. I am active in competition and serve as an instructor and examiner at Dynamic Taekwon-Do (www.dtkda.com).
I have also cross-trained in other martial arts, including Judo, Wushu and Tai Chi.
